Cisco Outshift — UX/UI & Design Systems
Contributed to the design and evolution of a large-scale cybersecurity platform following Cisco’s acquisition of Lightspin, supporting integration efforts and system-wide consistency.
Context
Panoptica is a complex, enterprise-grade platform covering multiple domains of cloud and application security. Following acquisition, the challenge was to:
- integrate Lightspin capabilities into the platform
- maintain consistency across a large, distributed design team
- support highly technical, data-heavy interfaces
My Role
- Led design system alignment across product teams
- Ensured consistent adoption and contribution to shared components
- Designed key features within the platform, including real-time monitoring experiences
Key Contributions
1. Design System Governance
- Supported adoption of a unified design system across multiple teams
- Ensured consistency in UI patterns and components during rapid product evolution
- Encouraged contribution back into the system to maintain scalability
2. Real-Time CDR Visualization
- Designed a heatmap-based interface for monitoring cluster health in real time
- Represented system states (healthy, weak, failed) through visual encoding
- Enabled quick scanning and identification of system issues
3. Adaptive Interface Design
- Created responsive experiences adapting to scale (few vs many clusters)
- Ensured usability across varying data densities
4. Cross-Team Collaboration
- Worked within a large, multi-functional team environment
- Helped align design decisions across different product areas
- Supported cohesion during a complex integration phase
